The Hikvision DS-2CD2423G2-IW(W) camera comes in a compact plastic housing designed for indoor installation. The model supports modern H.265 and H.264 codecs, which allow for efficient compression of video streams without loss of quality. Infrared illumination with a range of up to 10 meters is provided for operation in low-light conditions. Additional image processing functions are implemented, such as DWDR rotation to extend the dynamic range.

The camera is equipped with built-in analytics: motion detection and object exclusion. Alarms can be configured for key targets, such as people and vehicles, to help avoid false alarms.
